My wife and 9 year old son are thinking of stopping in KC for a few days on our vacation in June.(12-14). I was wondering if I should order tickets in advance or if getting them at stadium on game day would be a problem? Can you see the game pretty well from most sections or should some sections be avoided? Also, suggestions on things to do in the area would be appreciated.
Royals tickets
Once upon a time I would have said to just get your tickets at the Stadium. That is still probably the case, but the Royals have been playing so much better this year....and depending who they would be playing then, that might make a difference.
I can%26#39;t help much with seating questions either, as they have re-done the seating at the stadium and I%26#39;ve not been there in awhile.
The post below ';Things to do'; has a number of things to do....but I see you have a 9 year old with you...so I might add, Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun. They would be off I-435 North.
What ever you do, enjoy yourselfs and you might post a report on your trip.....kc
Royals tickets
More people are at the stadium, but it will not be sold out, at least not that weekend. St Louis will probably sell out.
In this year%26#39;s much improved stadium, there is much more to do and what would sound like the ';bad'; sections are a lot of fun.
Go to the Kansas City official website: www.visitkc.com %26amp; then look under Special Offers-2-for 1 %26amp; other tabs. Royals tickets available for upper deck at $16 at 2 for 1 at box office. Also offers for museums %26amp; esp. for kids. Royals box office told us the ';sun'; seats are on the sides rather than behind home plate.
We%26#39;re going this weekend. Hope you have a good trip.
If you can arrive early enough on the 12th. It will be fireworks Friday at the Stadium and possible buck night. CHeck thier website. I haven%26#39;t been to the improved stadium so I can%26#39;t answer the sections questions. As for other things to d, it kind of depends on your family. Besides World and Oceans of Fun mentioned above..we have the KC ZOO, Starlight, Nature Centers, lakes, boating, swimming etc. Going up the tower at the Liberty Memorial and overlooking the city is fun. There%26#39;s also some fun waterparks in the area that are cheaper then Oceans of Fun. Kaleidoscope at Hallmark might be something your 9 year old would enjoy?
