Crown Plaza

original booking @ the days inn. changed reservation to the crown plaza. crown plaza to the scottrade center - walkable? after the games, 11:30pm+, ok to walk back? anything suggestions on what to do monday? anyone been to flannerys pub - OU%26#39;s ';official'; place to meet?

thanks for any help.

Crown Plaza

The Crown Plaza is on 4th St, the Scottrade Center is on 14th = 10 blocks, a nice walk. Use Market St. as your east/west thoroughfare. I%26#39;m sure many others will be taking the same path. Have you checked to see if the hotel is running a shuttle?

Flannery%26#39;s is a nice sports bar, lots of import beers on tap, average bar food. There are also many other places with a variety of food and drink along that stretch of Washington Ave. The Side Bar, right across the street, is another good place.

Monday is opening day of baseball season which is an unoffical local holiday. There will be lots of events all over downtown, and particularly around the stadium.

The weather forecast is less than ideal for Sun - Mon, so be prepared for cool, wet weather.

Have fun.

Crown Plaza

i%26#39;d been keeping up with the weather - here in oklahoma we usually wait and look out the window in the morning, the weather guys are about 50-50 on getting it correct.

can you give me any info on casinos? any close by, any i should avoid? neighborhoods to avoid? i know we have some areas here i would recommend avoiding.

thanks for the info.

I%26#39;m not much of a casino person, but in general, the newest and reportedly nicest casino in the area is the closest one to your hotel - Lumiere Place, immediately north of the Arch grounds. You won%26#39;t be able to miss the glow of their giant video billboard.
