Is Downtown St. Louis Pedestrian Friendly???

We will be staying at the Westin during the NCAA Women%26#39;s Tournament. Is this area pedestrian friendly? We will be taking in the games at the Scott Trade Center.

Is it safe for two females to walk back to the Westin after the games around 10:30 p.m. or should we take a cab? There are usually crowds of people walking back to the hotels in the area of the game sites.

This is a girl%26#39;s only trip. We%26#39;re leaving the husbands and kids at home. Just wondering what our game plan should be.

Thanks to all you Missouri residents who have given me lots of great advice so far!

Take the Metrolink. There is a station for Scottrade and the next station east of Scottrade is the station for Busch Stadium. The entrance to the Westin is next to the Busch Stadium stop. Unless you really want to walk. I%26#39;ve walked it (along Spruce)- but it was during day Cardinal games. You will walk past some old warehouses and surface parking lots.

Thanks! This is a good option. What%26#39;s the charge for the Metrolink?

2.25 one way (1.10 seniors,children,disabled)

There is a 2 hour pass available for 2.75- good option if you want to ride it to Lacleds Landing or Union Station for a quick meal.

If I am not mistaken, you can also get an all day pass for the metrolink for $4.50

Yeah- you can but I thought it was around $7.50 or something like that.

The MetroLink will likely be very crowded after the game. It is not a very long walk and you should be fine if there is a decent size crowd at the event.

My direct answer to your question is ';Yes';.

And I agree w/ Faith that you will be wasting time and money waiting to ride the Metrolink. Walk with your friends.
