Hiking and waterfalls

Hey everyone!

I am going to be in Branson from May 30 - June 6 and was wondering if anyone can tell me where some great hiking trails with waterfalls are. I am hoping to see some larger ones (higher than 20%26#39;) but am not sure if there are any around.

Thanks so much for your help!

If they happen to have the dam open (most likely not, though), you could hike along the trail by the dam and see the water fall down several hundred feet. ;)

We didn%26#39;t see any waterfalls on the trails off of Fall Creek Rd. Maybe in Dogwood Canyon they would have some - I don%26#39;t know.

Have a great time!

Hiking and waterfalls

There are a lot of great hiking trails but I can%26#39;t think of one with a 20%26#39; and higer waterfall. The only place that may is Dogwood as mentioned above. They have waterfalls but I%26#39;m not sure of how high they are. Contact them direct. The website is http://www.dogwoodcanyon.com/. They have a lot of outdoor activities available besides hiking.

I read that you have to pay to get into Dogwood Canyon to walk or hike-is it worth it? What other places are there for hiking? We are coming the last week in April and are looking forward to seeing the scenery and finds places for nice hikes.

Thanks for your help.

Well, you%26#39;re only going to be a little drive from the tallest waterfall between the Appalachians and Rockies. At about 200 ft. Hemmed in Hollow Waterfall near Ponca, AR is the place you want to go. You can get there by floating in a canoe on the beautiful Buffalo River then hiking 3/4 mi. up a trail. Or you can hike it from a trailhead for a much longer hike. I recommend the float---a true Ozarks experience and not difficult for a beginner. Here%26#39;s a link, you can google it and see several videos. It is a true freefall waterfall very unique. It would be a great way to spend one of your days---the area around Jasper has LOTS to see.
