We have a group of about 5 guys coming into town in July to catch a Royals game. We are wanting to enjoy some night life in addition to the game. Our thought is to get a hotel downtown and drive to the game instead of staying at the hotels right there. Any recommendations on a good hotel? Also, any recommendations on good bars/hot spots that we should get to. We are all 30ish and married/attached so not looking for clubs or anything like that, just a good sports bar type place.

The power and light district down town might work for you. alot of bars and dining options are there. You are right_ no activity around the stadium
