Accommodation at the University Loop or near WUSTL

hi!

i%26#39;m planning to stay for about 1 1/2 weeks at the University Loop, St. Louis. unfortunately, i%26#39;ve not been able to locate any accommodation that%26#39;s very near University Loop, or between Washington University in St Louis and University Loop, or next to Washington University in St Louis.. i%26#39;d prefer it to be around this area, rather than downtown st louis or clayton.

as such, i hope there can be suggestions for me to consider! thanks:)

You didn%26#39;t say when you will arrive, but there%26#39;s a new hotel called the Moonrise opening in the Loop on April 17th. There%26#39;s also on-campus housing at Wash. U%26#39;s Knight Center.

The area around Wash. U is mainly residential and park land, so I%26#39;m not aware of any other hotels within walking distance. The Central West End, about 2 miles away, has several hotels like the Chase Park Plaza, The Parkway, Hotel Indigo (opening July %26#39;09). This area and Clayton are connected to both Wash. U and the Loop by MetroLink light rail if that helps. You may also try searching bed and breakfasts for those that may be in the neighborhood.

thank you very much for your advice!

Marriott has just opened a Sprinhill Suites on Hanley Road in the Maplewood/Richmond Heights area. They offer NO SHUTTLE SERVICE but they are near the Metro Link Stop that goes to the Airport and Washington U. There is a Marriott Residence Inn across the street from the Galleria Shopping Center in Richmond Heights, and they too are walking distance to the Metro Link.

thanks for the update! i%26#39;ll look into that option too...

cheers,
