We are coming to St. Louis for a girls weekend and want to do some dancing. We are all in our 40s so we love disco, 70%26#39;s and 80%26#39;s music. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Do you know what weekend? There are a few good 70%26#39;s and 80%26#39;s cover bands in the area that put on a good show. I%26#39;ve seen a few at the Voodoo Lounge at Harrahs and at the Bottleneck Blues Bar at Ameristar and each time the crowd was really into the music and dancing.

You may want to look at http://www.examiner.com/st_louis for details about what you can do in St Louis in the nightlife, restaurant and winery/other catagories. When I lived in St Louis we had The Landing but now alot of the bar/dance music has moved into south county. There is a place called House of Rock you may want to check out as well as places a band called Joe Dirt is playing. They are a local band but play alot of 70%26#39;s and 80%26#39;s music.

Along with Joe Dirt...Metal Studz, and That 80%26#39;s Band are other popular rock bands in the area. I know all of these play around the St. Charles area.
I will tell you where NOT to go. The Landing - it is very young. Metromix is a pretty good source of info on bars.
