There%26#39;s a Holiday Inn and a Red Roof Inn at Hampton, just south of I-44. Just over two miles to the hospital.

Thank you for the replies.... it will help in making travel arrangements when we get the date of the surgery scheduled. Deb-Indiana

You might check out the Parkway Hotel---just across the street from the Barnes complex and within an easy walk to the Metro stop. It%26#39;s surrounded by a variety of restaurants.

Thanks for the reply. We did stay at the Parkway Hotel. It was so nice to have it so close to the hospital. The skywalk was a real plus. The hotel was upcale and very nice with an Applebee%26#39;s located in the lobby. Would recommend to any one needing to be near the hospital. deb-indiana

Deb,

When my boyfriend was having heart surgery at Barnes and I stayed at the Barnes Lodge. There is a shuttle service that goes to and from the hospital several times a day and even at night. The Lodge has a full kitchen, laundry facilities, and a computer. They have reasonable rates and it%26#39;s a home like atmosphere.

Great advice Cocoa. Too bad you%26#39;re over a year and half late. This thread is from 2007.

LOL!! Yeah. I didn%26#39;t notice that part until after I%26#39;d posted it. The Lodge is still less expensive than the connected hotel. I%26#39;m sure the hotel is nicer, but you get what you pay for. LOL!
