Travel america vacations Inc

Has anyone ever used a company called travel america inc? They do promotional vacations through banks and car lots, etc. I was just wondering if the trip would be any good. Thanks.

Travel america vacations Inc

I have the opportunity to use a promotion from ';travel america vacations inc'; but I am not sure if I should go on the vacation. Other than their website, I cannot find any information or comments on the company. Let me know if you decide to go on one of their promotional vacations. Thanks.

I too am about to use Travel America Inc. We received a ';free'; trip after purchasing a vehicle. I would appreciate it if you could share any info. you find out about the company. I couldn%26#39;t even find their web-site.

Thanks

Has anyone ever used Travel America Vacations Inc.???

We have a free certificate for a 2 night air and hotel package to Vegas, Orlando or San Francisco. Is there a catch?

sounds like a time share sales pitch to me. Where in order to qualify for the trip you have to attend a 90 minute sales pitch to buy a time share.

I got my 2-day stay in Orlando with free Disney passes cupon brochure too.

We replied... Month later, received letter asking for $116.80 US certified cheque, in the name of ';applicable hotel taxes, Disney Pass Taxes and couriering charges';.

I suggest everyone to stop and investigate some more.

Rule number one in scam business:';I%26#39;ll give you something for free if you pay this little amount right now';. I could be wrong, but every time I stayed in any hotel, they charged fr hotel taxes AFTER I received the service.

Any coments?

Travel America Vacations - 1-877-993-6835

The Platinum Passport gives you two nights but only one day .

Who want to travel two days for one day of vacation?

Taxes of US$ 234.

Extra midweek days at their hotel - $99 - $159

You are not allowed to stay elsewhere and return the following week.

As of Jan 11, 2007, Jan, Feb, and March are blacked out and April is blacked out from 5 - 26. There are some days in May.

RE: The exciting Carnival Cruise option

When you exchange your platinum package, you are giving up your flight. The cruise covers meals and entertainment but not drinks or port taxes ($198/person).

Hi folks!

Sorry... i wish i responded earlier but better late than never i guess. @ _ @

I originally wrote in Feb, 2005 that i had the opportunity to accept a promotional offer from Travel America Inc. ... and i decided to go for it!

A friend of mine purchased a vehicle and in return received a ';free trip'; offer through Travel America Inc. My friend transferred the offer to me and my husband and I called the company to arrange our Platinum Passport trip. We chose to use the Platinum Passport offer for ';free'; airfare and a 3 day, 4 night hotel stay in Las Vegas. The only condition was that we had to pay the airport taxes for our airfare, which worked out to less that $200 total for 2 people. So essentially, my husband and I got to fly to Vegas and stay in a hotel for less than $100 per person!

I would have to say that the offer was completely legitimate and we have no complaints about the experience at all! I called a 1-877-... phone number and talked to a travel agent at the Travel America office. They have a Canadian office out of B.C. The travel agent was very helpful. With your travel offer, you have one year to book before the offer expires. Unfortunately, they have set dates available for travel and you have to travel on a weekday. Apparently the dates book up quickly so you%26#39;ll have to talk to the travel agent to see what dates are available. I think I had to reschedule about 2 times due to lack of availability but in the end, things worked out well and we had a great time in Vegas.

If you use the Platinum Passport for a trip to Vegas, they give you the option of staying at one of the following hotels: Circus Circus, Stratisphere or Imperial Palace. All 3 hotels are older than the other hotels on the strip but we chose to stay at Imperial because of the central location. Definately can%26#39;t complain for the money we spent.

Once we got to Vegas, there was no catch at all... no timeshare gimics or anything annoying like that. We simply got to the airport in Vegas, caught a cab to Imperial Palace and checked in as normal. Then we were off on our own to enjoy the sites and sounds of Vegas.

Again, this was the best $200 that my husband and I have ever spent for a trip! Even during the off-season, I don%26#39;t think you can travel to Vegas for that price.. but I could be wrong.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me!

Hope this helps (^_^)

I too am considering a trip. Cashiers check before confirming dates! any comments?

Me too I%26#39;m in the same boat (no pun intended) I originally received the airfare/hotel offer. I sent in the completed form before the expiration and I got back a letter saying that some people overlook that there is a expiration on the offer but that we will offer a cruise vacation instead. First of all it didn%26#39;t expire. I kept a copy and it still didn%26#39;t expire until this March 2007 but I was fine with this since a cruise sounds like more fun. Only thing is it asked for a $20.00 booking fee. I sent this in and received another letter with dates and a little more information. Basically you still have to almost pay for the cruise. It%26#39;s $198.00 per person and they don%26#39;t offer all the cruises the original brochure says they do. They say these fees are for taxes ect... but I know for fact that real free cruises have a much lower fee for taxes since I was offered one through work. It%26#39;s too bad since I turned down this other free cruise I had through work since I was planning on using this one... I%26#39;ll respond back if I end up going on this not really ';free'; cruise.

I%26#39;m glad to have found this site... I had a hard time finding anything other than their own site - which really is only slightly bias!

We received our certificate with the purchase of my new car. We are very much looking forward to the Vegas trip ... have sent in the info today and will let you know what comes of this!

Keeping my fingers crossed!
