Restaurant recs needed near Clayton and elsewhere?

Traveling to St. Louis for my son%26#39;s college graduation and would love some dining recs. We%26#39;re staying in Clayton, and arriving on Thursday night. Would prefer to stay in or around the area that night. We need someplace to eat after 9:00pm, casual, but I%26#39;m a foodie so it needs to be good. Any suggestions? Also, need a really great food spot for one special night out. Have been to Niche, and despite all the acclaim, I wasn%26#39;t overly impressed. I%26#39;d appreciate other suggestions, again food quality is my biggest concern. Also, one son is a vegetarian, so need somplace with interesting food that is vegie friendly. Thanks for any suggestions, we love all cuisines, so anything interesting but really good.
