We%26#39;ll be arriving in St. Louis on in the evening of 7/9 after a full day of driving/sightseeing in Springfield. I%26#39;d like to take some photos of the St. Louis Arch (is there free parking close by after 6?) and then find a reasonably priced hotel somewhere between there and Forest Park where we%26#39;ll be spending the next day before flying home. With 3 teens, I%26#39;d prefer a family suite with 2 bedrooms to give us some extra privacy to avoid having to pay for 2 separate rooms. Is there such a thing? The Homewood Suites doesn%26#39;t open until 7/15. If a suite isn%26#39;t possible, where would you suggest looking that preferably has free parking?
Hotel recs for 5 people between the Arch and Forest Park
You might think about staying at the Drury Plaza at the Arch, which is about a 10 minute walk to the Arch. They have two room suites. They also have an indoor pool (you have a view of the Arch from the pool area), free hot breakfast buffet, free popcorn and soda in the lobby, and a happy hour with 3 free alcohol drinks for the adults and snacks/soda for kids. Their parking isn%26#39;t free, it is $15, but usually the reasonable rate, and the extra perks, make the Drury very reasonable even if you do have to pay to park.
