My husband and I are coming to Kansas City for the Royals Opening Weekend, April 10-12. We found a great deal for the Hyatt Place around the airport. How far is this actually from town? We don%26#39;t mind driving a little ways, we just want to make sure it%26#39;s not in the middle of nowhere.

How Far Away is Airport?
KC has a decent case of urban sprawl. The city itself has grown and reaches the airport area. Nearby is the up-and-coming shopping/residential district called Zona Rosa. It has many shops and restaurants, and would be handy for someone staying near the airport. There are few amenities around the airport hotels, but each usually has its own restaurant and gift shop.
As for the Stadium, if you stay at the airport hotel you will be approx. 28 miles (35 minutes) from the stadium. It is an easy all interstate highway drive.
How Far Away is Airport?
Well, you won%26#39;t be in the middle of nowhere; that%26#39;s a couple exits north of the airport. If you scored a great deal at the hotel, and you don%26#39;t mind driving a couple dozen miles to get to the stadium (and other attractions), you%26#39;ll be fine.
