We are going to Springfield just for a quick overnight getaway!!

We will go to Bass Pro, but we are thinking about staying at the Sleep Inn, anyone ever stayed there? The reviews were good.

We also are wanting to go to the Springfield Cardinals game, and don%26#39;t know what tickets are the best, I know the REDBIRD ROOST includes food, but not sure of what kind of food and we are taking our 2 kids and 4 tickets are 132.00, just dont know if it%26#39;s worth the money!!

If anyone has any input please let us know!

It would be helpful to know when you%26#39;re planning on doing this, but here goes...

I can%26#39;t tell you about the motel, but for the game, the Redbird Roost food is nachos, popcorn, drinks, hotdogs and brats--plenty of it too. Also it sounds like there are just 4 of you which would be about a hundred bucks---Roost tickets are $23.50. Myself, I%26#39;d just go on a Friday if possible(great fireworks after the game)get a box seat(they usually aren%26#39;t sold out) and pick and choose my food. You wouldn%26#39;t need to reserve in advance unless you were going for the Roost.You could also avoid a rainout that way.

Great, the season opens Thursday the 9th, there are fireworks for both the Thursday and Friday games! If the weather is good those opening week games could be sellouts though---so I might have to eat crow about not getting your tickets ahead of time.
