We are planning a trip to the Branson area over Memorial Day weekend. I was wondering if Table Rock Lake is swimmable in May. Is the water temperature too cold this early in the summer? We were planning to spend one day at Moonshine Beach swimming, but I started thinking about it and was curious about the temperature of the water. Thanks!
Table Rock Lake
Unless there is unusually warm weather for a couple of weeks prior to your visit, I would assume swimming would be very cold and make other plans.
Table Rock Lake
It%26#39;s considered cold by my standards but the kids say it%26#39;s cold at first but they get use to it pretty fast. Some of the resorts on Table Rock have heated swimming pools, you may want to find one of those just in case.
Tooooo cold for me. This lake is ';rarely'; above 60 degrees. It%26#39;s fun for water sports, but not like leisurely swimming in the ocean in Destin, FL.
Yes, it is swimmable. It is cold when you first jump in, but it feels great if it is a hot weekend! (If it isn%26#39;t a sunny day, you might reschedule.) My kids (10 and 7) are always perfectly fine with it - they will be swimming before Memorial Day probably!
