Branson trip

Our family is renting a condo in Branson for a week in September. I would like recommendations on what

shows and restaurants tp include during our stay,

Also, is the Titanic tour worth the time and money?

Branson trip

What are the ages in your family ---- adults, seniors, children (ages?). Do you like country music, magic shows, comedy shows, variety shows? Any price ranges on the restaurants? AFter reading your answers to these questions, I%26#39;ll try to offer some suggestions. We are frequent visitors to Branson. ANother good sight to check out is 1branson.com........lots of good information there about all the questions you%26#39;ve listed.

Titanic? I didn%26#39;t care for it! Lots of walking, lots of reading. I was disappointed in the entire experience and thought it was terribly expensive.

If you like museums, the College of the Ozarks has a really good one and the admittance charge is less than $5. The entire College campus is a neat place to spend some time......they have a working mill, a green house, a bakery, the students %26#39;work out%26#39; their room and board and tuition. I%26#39;ve never eaten at their restaurant, The Keeter Center, but have read nothing but raving reviews about it!

Branson trip

It%26#39;s hard to recommend a show without knowing who%26#39;s attending. Our teenagers like Yakov, Kirby VanBurch and Jim Stafford. Restaurants would include Garfields on the landing, Plantation, %26amp; Docker%26#39;s. But once again it kind of depends on the ages.

Opps..forgot to post. we did the Titanic tour and the 6 of us got in on a family rate of @ $50. It was okay. Some things were really neat others not. You are given a passenger identity when you enter and it%26#39;s interesting finding out what happens to you. My biggest complaint was that it seemed like there%26#39;s were many replicas of things that ';would have or could have'; been on the original Titanic. It%26#39;s very well run and the workers do a good job of getting into character, but had I paid full price I would have been disappointed.

We will have eight family members in the 40-65 age

group. We like all types of shows especially country

music and comedy shows. We would like good moderately priced restaurants for most night with a

recommendation for a more expensive restaurant on the last night that we are in Branson. Thanks for

your help!

Our #1 favorite show in Branson is Clay Cooper%26#39;s Country Music Express. High energy show, traditional country music, today%26#39;s country music, awesome dancers, hilarious comedian, %26amp; Johnny Lonestar, the trick roper who was on America%26#39;s Got Talent. Something for everyone in Clay%26#39;s show and he has a great interaction with his audience. We see this show every trip to Branson, in fact, we bought season tickets! A good place to purchase tickets to Clay%26#39;s theater is at Branson 2 for 1 tickets. Not a timeshare, but you buy 1 ticket at regular $ and they give you a second ticket at no charge. They actually give you vouchers, which you take to the theater and exchange for tickets. We%26#39;ve used this place several times, and always had very good experience. Your group might also enjoy the Roy Rogers Jr. theater and museum. A small, intimate theater setting, and Roy Jr sings cowboy songs, no modern stuff at all. Talks quite a bit about growing up in the Roy Rogers household. If you are in town on Thursday or Friday night, a good choice would be Paul Harris Live at the Clay Cooper Theater. Paul is a stand up comedian, throws a little traditional country music into his show. I guarantee you will laugh so much and hard at Paul%26#39;s show that you%26#39;ll leave with your sides aching!

If you like bbq, a good %26#39;local%26#39; place is Danna%26#39;s. Very casual atmosphere, large portions. A favorite with the locals. Chester%26#39;s in the Hillbilly Inn is a new restaurant in Branson that is getting wonderful reviews. We%26#39;ll be trying it soon...sounds awesome! Famous Dave%26#39;s is another good bbq choice, located on the Branson Landing. MacFarlins, in the Imax Complex, has a good variety of good food at very reasonable prices.

You may want to check out..

www.1branson.com. There%26#39;s loads of information on it and lots of locals to answer your questions.

Just back from Branson and the Little Opry theatre has some good shows.

We saw James Garrett do a John Denver Tribute and also Strait Country done by James Garrett that was excellent.

The Hughes Bros show is very very well done. Great harmony and a very large family====children in the show too.

In the Branson Mall there are some free shows, just leave a tip. Mike Walker sings from 2-4pm and does impressions of other country songs which he does a marvellous job of.

We have been going for 10 yrs and this is the first time on the Ducks. Well worth going, its fun and informative. Also the free Winery Tour and you get to taste about 14 kinds of wines.

Just have fun, there is lots to do.
